 My Testimony

I was saved at Prospect Baptist Church in Hollow Rock, TN, when I was thirteen years old. We had gone to a Wednesday night prayer meeting and I sat with the young people. While Brother T. M. Boyd preached that night it seemed as though he was preaching to me. I knew in my heart that I was lost. I can't explain it exactly, but I was at the mourner's bench before I knew it and I stood up almost s quickly feeling happy and free from my burden. I joined Prospect Baptist Church and was baptized in McMacken's Pond. My husband, Luther, was saved at Bethlehem Methodist Church but he and his father, Claude, and our daughter, Dot, joined Independent (now Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church) and were baptized at Carroll Lake. I moved my membership to Independent so we could all go to church together.

"Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place."
[II Corinthians 2:14]

Mamie was a member of Huntingdon M. B. Church (formerly Independent) for many years. She has now gone to be with the Lord. Mamie's sisters, Polly Allen and Queen Alma Brewer, also shared their testimonies with us.
