Morning Worship is held in the main sanctuary at 10:45 am. The service is also live streamed into our Fellowship Hall for any that wish to socially distance or perhaps are unable to join the congregation in the sanctuary. Our worship consists of song, prayer, preaching of the Word, and opportunity for testimony. We try to balance doing all things decently and in order with a sensitivity to the work of the Spirit of God in our congregation.

Evening Worship is held in the main sanctuary at 6:00 pm. Typically, the evening service is similar in format to the morning service. HMBC will sometimes host guest ministers or missionaries during our Sunday evening service.

Wednesdays

Wednesday Night Bible Study
HMBC hosts a Wednesday night Bible Study in the Fellowship Hall at 7:00 pm. Topics can vary from week to week, though frequently a series is underway. Our pastor typically leads the study, though some of our members may stand in at times. The format is less formal than Sunday mornings and intended to be interactive. The gathering usually begins with a “Song of the Month”, as we learn some new music. On the fourth Wednesday of each month, we host a meal preceding the study at 6:00 pm.

Other Ways to Get Involved

Other Ministries
There are many ways to get involved beyond our weekly Sunday services and Wednesday Night Bible Study. As our congregation grows and matures, the number of ministries has also grown. Below is a list of many of the ministries presently available, as well as contacts to learn more about each one.

Youth Group
The HMBC Youth Group meets during our regular service times on Sunday night and Wednesday night. They enjoy time in the Word, activities, fellowship, and meals on Sunday nights.

Helping Hands
The Helping Hands is a group of ladies who prepare and take food to the sick, send cards of condolence, and attend to the needs of the church family. They are dedicated to the ministry of helping where there is a need. They hold a regularly scheduled meeting on the Monday following the second Sunday of the month at 5:00 pm. At these meetings, they enjoy an add-a-dish meal, a devotional, and a time of fellowship. They also enjoy outings to places of interest or entertainment.

"In His Hands"
These ladies use their talents to cut, sew, stuff, and deliver Teddy Bears, Burial Gowns and Wraps and Cradle Blankets to area hospitals that give these bears to children who have lost a little bother or sister at birth or soon after or a child who is taken to the emergency room and needs the comfort that a huggable Teddy Bear can give. The gowns and wraps are to clothe an infant lost at birth and can be a great comfort to the family at that time.

O.G. Bible Study
The O.G. (some say it stands for “Old Guys”) Bible Study meets in the Library every other Tuesday at 8:00 am. Topics for study and discussion each meeting are chosen at the prior meeting. These men also get involved in helping to maintain the church property and are known to help build ramps for members with mobility challenges or take on other small projects for some of our elderly members.

Small Groups
HMBC organizes Small Group meetings that are typically held from February through April and September through November. The topics and make-up of the groups vary with each session. Typically, at least three small groups are offered. The meeting time, day and location of each group is determined by each group.

Ladies Prayer Meeting
All ladies are invited to meet in the legacy sanctuary at 5:30 pm on the third Sunday of each month for a time or prayer prior to our evening worship service. The ladies also lead an annual prayer walk around the church facilities prior to our annual revival.

Choir
HMBC has an excellent choir that regularly participates in our Sunday morning worship and has some special performances each year at Christmas and Easter.
