ÿGod convicted me of my sins when I was fourteen years old. I had been attending revival meetings, but I was mowing a lawn at Rosser when God first made me realize that if I died I would go to hell. Right there I prayed for the Lord to save me. It seemed like I prayed for a very long time and when I got as humble as God wanted me, He reached down and rolled my lost burden away. That was the best feeling I have ever had in my life. I joined Independent Baptist Church in July of 1960 and was baptized in Carroll Lake by Brother T. L. Campbell.
"RETURN UNTO THY REST, O MY SOUL; FOR THE LORD HATH DEALT BOUNTIFULLY WITH THEE. FOR THOU HAST DELIVERED MY SOUL FROM DEATH, MINE EYES FROM TEARS, AND MY FEET FROM FALLING." [ PSALMS 116:7-8]
Dwayne, and Patsy Hill have been members of the church for many years. Their daughter Elizabeth is also a member. Dwayne is proof that God can save anywhere, even mowing the lawn.
