Olene Blount Born Again: At a Revival During the Third week in August, 1933 Place: New Hope Baptist Church Age: 14 years old

My Testimony

The Lord saved me at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church the third week of August on the last night of the revival. Brother T. M. Boyd preached to me and I became very troubled. When I turned it all over to the Lord I felt a wonderful peace come over me. It was like I went to sleep and woke up in a different world. I wanted to shout but I didn't and it was one year before I told what the Lord had done for me. The Lord saved me 63 years ago. I didn't shout then, but I thank the Lord I did shout years later when my oldest daughter, Elizabeth, was saved.

"O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth."

Olene is a devoted member of our church and an exemplary Christian lady. Her love for God shines through her life. She turned her burdens over to the Lord years ago and found the peace which has sustained her since that time.
