Dorothy BarkerBorn Again: August, 1954
|
ÿWhen I was a little girl, I attended school at Yuma, Tennessee. When the churches would have revival, the school would dismiss the students that wanted to attend. I enjoyed going to church so I looked forward to going each day. All of us would line up and walk to the church house. I was convicted of my sins one August day of 1954 during a revival at Yuma Missionary Baptist Church. As the preacher was preaching, it seemed like he was preaching only to me. The Lord convicted me and saved me that day.
"Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock." [Luke 6:47-48]
Dorothy is a committed and faithful member of the church and has been for many years. Her devotion to her Lord Jesus Christ makes her a truly Christian lady.
