Her Testimony

I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior in the summer of 1969 at Letourneau Christian Camp in Canadaigua, New York. My cousin went to the camp in 1968 and shared her experience with me of accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. I had to wait a year for my turn to go to camp. Even as a small child I knew there was a God especially while standing under the old pine trees and seeing their majesty and the whisper of the winds from their tops. I did not know that you could receive God's son as your personal Lord and Savior. At camp the very first time I heard the truth of the gospel and the invitation was given I went forward and prayed to receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior! Little did I know that I could have asked Jesus into my heart at any time or place An elderly woman in our neighborhood sent any child who wanted to go to this camp. She left a lasting impression on the lives of many children and their families.
