Age: 13
I knew something was not right with me and the Lord, but I did not know
what to do. On June 28th, Brother Kenneth Massey preached about going to
hell and what happened to those who were not saved. I was torn in pieces.
My heart was heavy and I felt God drawing me, but I also felt the devil
pulling me back. I would step toward the altar, then back away. Finally,
I let everything go and went to the altar. I did not know what to do or
expect. I just tried to block everything out and pray for God to save me.
When the Lord saved me, I knew it. I felt open and relieved and without
a problem in the world. I thought I was the happiest person in the world
and wanted to tell everybody. It was the best thing that ever happened to
me.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of
you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall
receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Kendra is the daughter of Gail and Steve
Edwards and the sister of Kala Edwards. She
has attended Huntingdon M. B. Church all her life. She now lives in Nashville,
TN, with her husband Lee La and they have a son, William Edwards La, born July
2007.
