Kala Edwards

I was sitting by my mom and dad at revival. Brother Kenneth Massey
was preaching. For a while, my heart was heavy. I didn't know what to do
but go to the altar. I was scared for some reason. My heart got so heavy
that I ran to the altar and asked the Lord to save me. He did, and when
I got up from the altar, my heart was filled with joy. I joined the church
and was baptized on July 2, 1995.
"Remember now thy Creator in the days of
thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when
thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them." [Ecclesiastes 12:1]
Kala is the daughter of Gale and Steve
Edwards. She and her sister Kendra are
members of the choir and enthusiastic participants in the youth activities
of Independent.
