My Testimony
I was raised in a Christian home and was taken to church every time
the doors were open. I guess this accounts for the fact that I was saved
at the young age of five. I came under conviction and went to my mother.
She later told me my exact words were, "Jesus is making it go through
my heart that I need to be saved. " I just knew that I had a need only
Jesus could fill. My mother called my father who sat me on the couch and
read some scripture with me and asked me some questions to make sure I was
truly under conviction. When he was convinced I was, we prayed together
and I asked the Lord to save me. It has been wonderful to have my Savior
through almost all of my life. I have had occasion to wonder and other people
often question my salvation at such a tender age, but the Holy Spirit continually
gives me peace.
"Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song,
and his praise in the congregation of saints." [Psalm 149:1]
